Delete Your Account

You can delete your Glimmers parent account and your child's linked account at any time. Deleting your account is permanent. Once the process is complete, your data cannot be recovered.

If you only want to pause access, you can sign out or withdraw specific consents instead of deleting the account. See the Parent Consent Policy for details.

Sign in to your Glimmers parent account in the app, or on the web from your Parent Dashboard.

From the dashboard menu, tap your profile, then open Settings and select the Account section.

Scroll to the bottom of the Account page and tap Delete Account. You'll see a summary of everything that will be removed.

For your child's safety, we'll ask you to confirm your identity, usually by re-entering your password or a one-time code sent to your registered email or phone.

Type DELETE (or tick the confirmation box), then tap Permanently Delete. Your account is queued for deletion right away.

If you can't access your account, you can request deletion by email:

• Email us at support@glimmersapp.com
• Use the subject line "Delete my account"
• Include the name and email on the account (and your child's nickname, if applicable)

We may contact you to verify your identity before deleting the account.

When deletion completes, we remove:

• Your parent account and profile
• Your child's linked account and profile
• Journals, reflections, Joy Capsules, and other content created in the app
• Mood check-ins and activity history
• Consent preferences and dashboard data

For legal, safety, and fraud-prevention reasons, we may retain a limited amount of information for a limited time, for example:

• Records required to comply with legal obligations
• Consent and safety records where retention is legally required
• Basic transaction records for completed payments

Retained information is kept securely and only for as long as necessary. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Most deletions finish within a few minutes. Information stored in backups may take up to 30 days to be fully removed.
