Parent Consent Policy

1. Purpose
At Glimmers, protecting children is our highest priority.
This Parent Consent Policy explains how Glimmers Inc. ("Glimmers", "we", "our", or "us") obtains, manages, and records parental consent for children using the Glimmers platform.
Because Glimmers is designed for children, many of our Services require the knowledge, approval, and involvement of a parent or legal guardian before a child can access or continue using the platform.

Collecting and processing information necessary to provide the Services, as described in our Privacy Policy.
AI Features
Allowing your child to access AI-powered features, including Lumiri, in accordance with our AI Use Policy.
Child Safety Systems
Using automated systems and trained human moderators to help identify and respond to potential safety concerns.
Educational Features
Allowing participation in age-appropriate learning experiences, challenges, creative activities, and wellbeing features.
Parent Dashboard
Receiving insights, activity summaries, and safety-related notifications through the Parent Dashboard.
Platform Communications
Receiving emails, notifications, and messages relating to your child's account, safety, programs, or important platform updates.
5. Consent for AI Features
Glimmers uses AI to support learning, creativity, and emotional reflection.
By providing consent, you acknowledge that:
- Your child may interact with Lumiri and other AI-powered features.
- AI responses are generated automatically.
- AI is designed to support reflection and learning.
- AI is not a therapist, doctor, counselor, or emergency service.
- AI interactions may be reviewed where necessary to improve safety, quality, or compliance.
Parents are encouraged to discuss AI use with their children and help them understand its capabilities and limitations.
6. Consent for Child Safety Monitoring
To help maintain a safe environment, Glimmers may use AI-assisted and human moderation systems.
By providing consent, you understand that Glimmers may:
- Review reported content.
- Detect unsafe behavior.
- Identify potential bullying or harassment.
- Detect sharing of personal information.
- Review content where significant safety concerns arise.
- Contact you if we believe your child may need additional support or protection.
Safety monitoring is intended to protect children and is not used to monitor families for unrelated purposes.
7. Parent Dashboard
By enabling the Parent Dashboard, you acknowledge that:
- Dashboard insights are intended to support conversations between parents and children.
- Dashboard information is not a diagnosis or psychological assessment.
- The dashboard may provide trends, participation summaries, and safety-related information.
- Some content may remain private unless a safety concern requires intervention.
Parents are encouraged to use the dashboard responsibly and respectfully.
8. Educational Programs and Events
Separate consent may be requested before your child participates in:
- Olympiads
- Workshops
- Afterschool programs
- Weekend programs
- School partnerships
- Special events
- Future educational initiatives
Additional program-specific terms may apply.
9. Photo, Video, and Creative Content
Where Glimmers wishes to use your child's photographs, videos, artwork, or creative submissions outside the normal operation of the platform, we will request separate consent where required.
You may choose whether your child's content may be used for:
- Community showcases.
- Educational highlights.
- Marketing materials.
- Promotional campaigns.
Choosing not to provide this consent will not affect your child's ability to use the Services unless participation in a specific activity requires such use.
10. Managing Your Consent
Parents may review and manage their consent preferences through their Glimmers account settings or by contacting our support team.
Where available, you may manage preferences relating to:

- Marketing.
- Parent Dashboard notifications.
- Educational programs.

Certain essential processing activities may remain necessary for the operation and safety of the Services.
11. Withdrawing Consent

Depending on the nature of the consent withdrawn, this may result in:
- Restricted access to certain features.

- Cancellation of participation in programs.

To help protect children, Glimmers may take reasonable steps to verify that consent is being provided by a parent or legal guardian.
